Sierra Lucy Quin

January eighteenth
The Central, moved to The Outskirts
125 lbs, 5 Feet and 6 Inches
Appearance:
Sierra is a lean and fit young woman, used to living in the Outskirts of the empire. She stands tall and confident to anyone she meets, showing no sign of weakness. Her eyes are alive with emotions, so nothing can be hidden from her. Her golden-brown eyes can become ablaze with anger, or harden into a dull brown when she's sad. Sierra's long brown hair hangs to past her shoulders, reaching to almost the small of her back. She has a graceful frame, which usually tricks people into thinking she is weak, or unable to take care of herself. In reality, people who think that end up paying dearly for their assumptions. She's graceful looking but a klutz on a regular basis. The only time where her true grace is revealed is in combat.
Sierra is usually dressed neatly in her white tunic that covers the top of her body, covering a bit of her skirt. There are designs created out of orange or gold lines that mark her clothing. The sleeves of her white costume are also designed at the sleeves. It’s form-fitting, and hugs to her body, showing much of the shape of her body. The clothes, however, are surprisingly neat despite her being an Outcast, but it’s to her advantage that it is. If she were to get caught, she could try to pass herself off as a Warrior of the Empire and get away scot-free. This type of situation has never happened to her before, but it could happen, what with all the snooping she does so close to the Empire.

General:
Sierra is an independent young woman, yet she is also proud. She doesn't accept help from anyone, she prefers to just do things all by herself and alone. No outside help. She'd only take help-- even then it'd be difficult for her to accept it-- if there's an extremely difficult situation she is in. While also being stubborn for help, she is adamant on any idea she strongly believes in, whether they be good or bad. If she believed that Pokemon were just tools, which she doesn't, then almost nobody could change her mind. If she believed that the Empire was evil, that wouldn't change any time soon. Unless there is something that truly shocks her out of her mind-set, she wouldn't change her ideals. Things may sway her, but she tries to convince herself that she's still right.
Sierra may not seem so, but she would make a good leader. She knows how to take initiative to back up her fellow Outlaws or stand up against an injustice, and can easily create a strategy. Despite her extremely fiery nature, she can create good strategies. She has learned to plan ahead, since at an early stage in life her brother viewed Sierra as the "boss", so she had to make sure he didn't get into trouble due to her lack of patience. Sierra may be good at strategizing for groups of people more than two, but she is liable to just rushing head-first into something when she's all by herself. Whether it be an Ursaring or a group of the Empire's warriors. She does fortunately, have enough sense in her to avoid conflict that could harm the resistance. She doesn't care about what happens to herself, but rather what would affect people around her. Sierra may not seem like a caring type, being extremely tough and stubborn, but she has "tough love".
Even though she is stubborn, Sierra has a lot of energy, almost too much, because it makes her sort of hyperactive and short-tempered. She has yet to learn patience. However, her energy is used for the best, so she is extremely hard working, and can last a bit longer than most girls when training or working in the fields. She also loves nature, so the good thing about living in the Outskirts, according to her, is that it is a mix of two things he loves, adventure and the wilderness. Living in the Capitol would have been boring to her, since she wouldn’t actually get to see a lot of trees or bushes or forests. The wide open spaces are to her liking, and anything smaller would make her fidgety and nervous. Getting locked in a closet would make her go ballistic. Sierra is also quite responsible when it comes to family and caring for people, and she knows how to cook and clean decently. But if anyone were to make a sexist comment she would punch his teeth out. She doesn’t take kindly to those who are rude to her or those she cares about. Sierra would fight to the death for anyone she has given her loyalty to, and she would expect the same from the other side. Being betrayed is a huge shock to her, and when she learns of this, she never lets go of her grudge. She still holds one against the warriors who killed her father, even though it was so long ago. Many people have said that holding so much hate would have killed her long ago, and the only reason why she’s still around is the fact that her Pokemon and brother are there for her. They help soothe her anger, and that’s the only thing that keeps her going. Losing any of them would break her beyond repair. Sierra’s a good girl, but she has a lot of anger within her.
History
Family:
Lucy Quin - mother, deceased? alive?
Jonathan Quin - father, deceased
Damian Quin - sixteen year old brother, alive
elderly woman - adoptive mother, deceased
General:
Sierra’s past was full of dark twists and turns which she never wishes to remember, locking them up in the back of her mind. She and her brother were born in the Capitol. Sierra's father had been a famous craftsman, and invited by friends to work on the buildings in the Central. But the initially lucrative business crumbled when Sierra's father nearly destroyed a building. He was never allowed to carve into building again.
However, even with those precautions, the family was caught right when they were about to escape. It seemed ironic that they were almost there, but find that the end was where their new beginning lay. Sierra’s father and mother tried to hide the true reason of why they were so far from the Empire, but the warriors had already known about this family. They were hard to miss, since they had two very young children with them. The warriors engaged Sierra’s father in battle, and while he fought, Sierra’s mother told her two children to leave quickly. Both children were so afraid that they nearly scrambled over each other to get away. When they had gotten far enough to be unseen by the soldiers fighting their father, Sierra pulled her brother away from the scene just as one warrior dealt the final strike. She watched as her father crumpled to the ground, unmoving, she watched as the soldiers chased after her mother, leading them away from the children’s hiding spot. Sierra doesn’t know what happened to her mother, but when she became older, she assumed that her mother was dead. Seeing death so early in her life has made her bitter to the world, and easy to anger. She didn’t let her brother see what had happened, pulling him along farther into the Outlands.
The two children were absolutely terrified. They had no mother and no father to take care of them. How would they survive? How? How? How? So many things to worry about, and they were only children. As the two ran, they were spotted by others in the Outskirts, other Outlaws like they were now. When Sierra and her brother first saw them, they almost had a panic-attack, thinking they were another group of soldiers that had caught their parents. The other Outlaws immediately understood what had happened to the children, seeing them crying and screaming. They spoke to the children in calming tones, and this happened for about an hour until Sierra and her brother understood that the Outlaws weren’t going to hurt them. Following them, the two children were taken into the camp, where they were given into the care of an elderly woman. She cared so much for them, Sierra and her brother were almost healed from the scars they got from their parents' deaths. However, Sierra couldn't forget about what happened, and even though it didn't hurt as much, she held a grudge against those men who killed her father and took away her mother.
As life went on, and Sierra and her brother grew older, they learned a little on how to read and do arithmetic. The Outskirts weren’t a very good place to learn, but the old woman who cared for them tried to teach the best she could. Sierra just couldn’t understand math, but read well, and her brother understood math well, but couldn’t read as well. They both helped each other’s weaknesses, so they could make the other better-rounded. Life became happier, and got better when Sierra got her first Pokemon, her Absol.
She was thirteen then, and went out exploring with her brother. As they went, Sierra had a strange feeling they were being watched. But by what? As the afternoon went on, Sierra knew that something was there, and she had even caught glimpses of it. Finally, the curiosity overtook her, and she told her brother to stay put and she would go see what was there. Leaving her brother behind was risky, but she wasn’t thinking straight, only about the fact that perhaps a Pokemon was there. The movement seemed to come from a cliff, so climbing that, she found herself up high, with an amazing view. As she stood there admiring the view, there was a sound of clattering rocks, and a cry of pain. Sierra followed it, and found an Absol caught underneath a rock slide. She admired the Pokemon, how Absols were famous for appearing when a natural disaster is about to occur. She had to help it. Grabbing a study stick that lay on the ground, she tried to lever the rocks away from the Absol. As the rocks loosened, the Absol gave a final push and leapt out of the rubble, which then collapsed. Sierra screamed, thinking it was the end, until she saw the Absol in front of her, knocking away any rocks that fell towards them. When the rumbling stopped, the Pokemon looked back at Sierra, as if to say thank you. Sierra left, but the Absol continued to follow her. They have been together ever since then.
However, another tragedy happened, but this one didn’t invoke more anger within Sierra. It was more of understanding. When Sierra became sixteen, the old woman died. Sierra and her brother mourned her for a long time, yet before the woman died, she explained to Sierra about how everything had a meaning in life. From the birth of one person, to the death of another. Sierra was surprised, did that mean her parents were to die for a reason? That also made her angry, but as the old woman explained more, Sierra understood some of what she explained. That released some of the bitterness she felt, but she still held a deep grudge for the people who killed her parents. She’s still stubborn as well, and refuses to forgive those men, even though she accepts her parents’ deaths. An eye for an eye.

Sol
Level 20
Dark
Male
Super Luck - raises the chances of getting a critical-hit for moves
Taunt - Quick Attack - Bite - Zen Headbutt - Leer
Personality:
Silent, stoic, and level-headed, Sol is one of the most trusted Pokemon Sierra has. He is incredibly loyal and dependable, that Sierra sometimes wonder if he has any limit in his patience for her temper. Sol is always there for Sierra, whether it be a battle or just any everyday activity. He's both her battle partner and best friend. The two met when he followed Sierra for unknown reasons. The Pokemon was stuck under a rock slide and could have died. Sierra rescued him, and even after he repaid his debt to her, he didn’t leave. He stayed with her, and followed her back to camp. Sierra hasn’t thought of asking her friend as to why he stayed, but if she did, he’d just give her that mysterious smile he has when he knows something that she doesn’t. Sol is mysterious, and is often seen just quietly contemplating about something unknown to others. He’s the absolute opposite of Sierra, but is the weight that balances out Sierra’s temper. When Sierra loses herself, his sense brings her back. It’s almost like he’s the confidante of Sierra, someone other than her brother whom she can tell her secrets to.
[pokemon=Taillow]black-white[/pokemon]
Taillow
Mitsu
Level 13
Normal - Flying
Female
Guts - when HP is low, raises the attack of moves
Peck - Focus Energy - Quick Attack - Wing Attack
Personality:
An incredibly short-tempered bird, even fiery Sierra is sometimes amazed at the rage the small Pokemon has. She's very reckless as well, diving in for an attack without thinking of what the consequences may be for her actions. There have been some times where the Taillow has been severely injured in a fight she couldn't handle. Fortunately, she's survived all her injuries, though her wings still show scars from battle. Ruffled feathers, patches of her body not able to grow back feathers. She's not the prettiest bird to look at, and Mitsu hates to be reminded of it. She avoids mirrors, lakes or any sort of reflective surface so that she doesn't have to see herself. Back when she didn't get into so many fights, the bird was extremely beautiful, and she prided herself for her strength and beauty; so much that she's still vain about it. She dreams about the day when she'll evolve into Swellow, and maybe then her feathers will be restored.

Sierra's father had been a famous craftsman, and invited by friends to work on the buildings in the Central. But the initially lucrative business crumbled when Sierra's father nearly destroyed a building. He was never allowed to carve into building again.
Sierra's father had to find another way to make money, and in his desperation, attacked an Imperial Knight. The knight wasn't injured badly, but he wanted revenge for having to fight a peasant who could not even read and much less write. The imperial knight had other followers of his, who loved and adored him, and he sent them out to punish Sierra's father and family. When her father learned of this threat to his family, he had to move them somewhere safe, away from the Empire. He knew it was his fault, and he wanted to get his family out of all the conflict he created. The only place he found good enough was the Outskirts. His wife and he brought along their daughter, Sierra, who was eight at the time, and her brother, only seven. It was an extremely difficult journey to bring along two young children, especially when the family was being hunted. The family had to move quickly and only during the cover of night, where there would be the most protection.
However, even with those precautions, the family was caught right when they were about to escape.
